Performing Arts School for 4-18 years.
Stagecoach Abingdon has been providing quality part-time training in singing, dancing and acting for over 14 years. As part of the largest network of part time performing arts schools in the UK, Stagecoach Abingdon is more than just a stage school, theatre school or drama school.

We are proud to offer a full and rounded education, teaching life skills to build confidence and stretch imaginations through singing, acting and dance classes.

Join us for a fun packed week of singing, dancing, and acting as well as lots of confidence and skills building suitable for boys and girls who love to perform. Our experienced staff will guide the children towards a fully staged and costumed performance on the Friday for their families, who will be amazed at how much they will learn in just 5 mornings of rehearsals, making new friends along the way.

The workshop will run from the 3rd to the 7th August at The School of St Helen & St Katherine (OX14 1BE).

            9.00am - 6.00pm Friday

LAMDA Acting Exams
Congratulations to all our students who have worked hard on their LAMDA acting exam pieces over the last couple of terms, they have been rewarded with Merits and Distinctions. We now have several students working towards their Grade 6!
A huge congratulations to our wonderful student Ronnie, who at the age of 10 has been offered a full scholarship to the prestigious Elmhurst Ballet School in Birmingham. Ronnie is an extremely talented performer and will be starting his new school in September – meaning the Summer term will be his last at Stagecoach. We will miss him, but wish him the very best of luck!

Our Friday School
Our Friday School put on a successful performance of 'The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe' musical last term for their annual full school presentation. All their hard work paid off and the stageing looked amazing. We are now looking forward to the Saturday schools performances of 'FOOTLOOSE'.

Dance Troupe at the Dorchester Abbey Festival
Our Dance Troupe rehearses every Saturday lunchtime, they will be performing again this year at the Dorchester Abbey Festival on Saturday 2nd May. Come along to the tent and enjoy a whole day of entertainment for all ages. Money raised will go towards the Abbey and PACT, a local adoption charity. There is a 'Frozen' theme this year and our performance will include 2 contrasting dance routines plus some solo and duet singing.

NEW Friday Drama Teacher
Our Friday School welcomes their new Drama Teacher, Rebecca Varey who is a highly experienced and motivating teacher of drama and dance, as well as an Early Stages teacher for Stagecoach in Reading. She trained at Birmingham School of Acting, and has performed professionally in theatre, film, cabaret, and Edinburgh Fringe. She is very much looking forward to working with everyone!

Stagecoach Abingdon at Disneyland Paris
An excited group of 14 Stagecoach Abingdon students will be joining many other Stagecoach schools at Disneyland Paris this July. It's a three day trip which includes taking part in the parade as well as their own special performance on stage in front of the crowds. We're busy practicing our Disney smiles!

Stagecoach Acting, Singing and Dance Classes & Times

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

Fees: £162 per term / £13.50 per week
(Weekly cost is based on 36 weeks of tuition a year)

Main Stages (for ages 6-18 yrs)

Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama. We nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, whilst at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child!

Fees: £324 per term / £27.00 per week 
(Weekly cost is based on 36 weeks of tuition a year)

There is always something interesting taking place at Stagecoach Abingdon. Whether planning our next theatre performance or helping children reach their potential, we’re always busy!

Teaching drama, dance, and singing lessons to children and teenagers up to the age of 18, Principal Julia Howson runs classes from Thameside Primary School located on Cotman Close. By doing so, not only does she help students develop their performing arts skills but also improves their confidence and assists them in learning important life skills.
