Stagecoach Grimsby

Welcome! At Stagecoach Grimsby we provide a nurturing, caring environment for our students to learn skills for life – these skills do not just disappear when not on stage!

The Grimsby centre has been established since 1998 and our coaches are all highly experienced professionals and qualified teachers in their respective disciplines. Classes are divided by age, with each stage covering material and challenges which are appropriate for their age and experience, encouraging self-confidence, self-awareness, team-building and leadership skills.

Holiday Workshops take place every summer, too, and non-Stagecoach students are welcome; as with all Stagecoach courses, the classes are great fun. They also serve as an excellent ‘taster’ session for your child, before joining the main school.

Faerie Queen - Purcell

We are are delighted to be performing with the Minster Singers again. Last year, our Dance Troupe was invited to perform in the opera 'Dido and Aeneas' by Purcell. This year, they will be performing in 'The Faerie Queen'. This will take place at Grimsby Minster which is a great arts venue, with a wonderful acoustic. Do join us! Sat 13t July 7.30pm

Here at Grimsby Stagecoach, we were so incredibly excited to be invited to perform in this professional production. 56 students and parents were on stage in the Bill Kenwright production at Grimsby Auditorium last May. High Flying Adored, indeed!

Summer term 2018 was our exam term and we entered our students for Performance Arts Awards again this year. We have an incredible 100% pass rate over many years, with 99% of our students opting to take the exams. I am so happy to announce that, once again, we have had an amazing 100% pass rate, with many Merits and Distinctions. Well done!

Weekly Classes

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

(90 minutes each week)

Main Stages (for ages 6-18 yrs)

Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama. We nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, whilst at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child!

(3 hrs each week)

Further Stages (for ages 15+ yrs)

Our advanced musical theatre sessions give talented students the chance to extend their performance skills.  Through in-depth training and master classes, we help students to hone their skills in singing, dancing and acting.  We also give students the confidence to audition for theatre and vocational drama schools (if that is their goal) and make sure they are well prepared for interviews and auditions.

Fees in accordance with Main Stages.
