Stagecoach Grimsby

Welcome! At Stagecoach Grimsby we provide a nurturing, caring environment for our students to learn skills for life – these skills do not just disappear when not on stage!

The Grimsby centre has been established since 1998 and our coaches are all highly experienced professionals and qualified teachers in their respective disciplines. Classes are divided by age, with each stage covering material and challenges which are appropriate for their age and experience, encouraging self-confidence, self-awareness, team-building and leadership skills.

Holiday Workshops take place every summer, too, and non-Stagecoach students are welcome; as with all Stagecoach courses, the classes are great fun. They also serve as an excellent ‘taster’ session for your child, before joining the main school.

Saturday Classes

Places are still available on our EARLY STAGES Two Week Trials in January 2019. Children from the ages of 4 to 7 are invited to come along. Please just follow the links on the wbesite to book your child's place.

Stagecoach Grimsby is inspected annually by an independent inspector (Trinity Guildhall). You will be pleased to know that we are, once again, an 'Outstanding' school. Thank you to all our lovely, committed students and excellent teachers. Why don't you come and see for yourself?

Here at Grimsby Stagecoach, we were so incredibly excited to have been invited to perform in this professional production. 56 students and parents were on stage in this Bill Kenwright production at Grimsby Auditorium last May. High Flying Adored, indeed!

WHAT A WONDERFUL WEEK WE HAD! We danced, sang, and acted our way through HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL! New friends were made and we entertained an audience of supportive parents and friends.

Join us on 22nd September for our first week of the new term! We are looking forward to 12 weeks of learning skills for life, making new friends and having lots of fun along the way.

'Dirty Dancing'

Our Dance Troupe were invited to perform in a touring production of ‘An Evening of Dirty Dancing’ This was a professional show and so we were over the moon to be asked to take part. We presented a fabulous dance piece to ‘Save the Last Dance for Me’. We came on halfway through the second act to a huge fanfare, with strobe lighting and fireworks!

Summer term was our exam term and we entered our students for Performance Arts Awards again this year. We have an incredible 100% pass rate over many years, with 99% of our students opting to take the exams. I am so happy to announce that, once again, we have had an amazing 100% pass rate, with many Merits and Distinctions. Well done!

During spring term, we developed our performance skills in singing, dance and drama, with music and themes from the wonderful 'Les Miserables'. In February, we had a 'West End Workshop' with Victoria Farley using her experience working on the show itself. This was such a fabulous day for our students and what a lot they learned!

Weekly Classes

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

(90 minutes each week)

Main Stages (for ages 6-18 yrs)

Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama. We nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, whilst at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child!

(3 hrs each week)

Further Stages (for ages 15+ yrs)

Our advanced musical theatre sessions give talented students the chance to extend their performance skills.  Through in-depth training and master classes, we help students to hone their skills in singing, dancing and acting.  We also give students the confidence to audition for theatre and vocational drama schools (if that is their goal) and make sure they are well prepared for interviews and auditions.

Fees in accordance with Main Stages.
