These awards will be held on 2nd December 2018 at London's Shaftesbury Theatre in the West End alongside our Charity Gala Event recognising the outstanding achievements of both students and teachers 

There will be 15 awards in total - Winners will be presented on stage with their awards and receive 4 tickets to the event - attend the VIP reception and feature in Young Performer

Student Fanfare Composer Award

Students will submit all fanfares agreeing that their work is 100 percent original.
Fanfares will be assessed and judged by award-winning composer David Lowe.
Winner will come to David’s Recording Studio in the Midlands or London where they will re-record and develop their fanfare with David Lowe.
The fanfare will be used for any events throughout the year and will be uploaded to i-tunes to be made commercially available with any profits going to Young Minds.
Will be invited to the Gala Evening on the 2nd December and be presented with an award on stage - including VIP reception.


Celebrity Judge David Lowe

David Lowe is an established composer, arranger and producer working primarily in television, radio, branding, idents and commercials, both in the UK and internationally. He has created music for a wide range of programmes including news, current affairs, factual, wildlife and entertainment shows. He has also composed for National Radio and for special events, such as the London 2012 Olympic Games.

David's music includes all the current themes for BBC News, as well as The One Show, Panorama, Countryfile and Grand Designs. For radio he produced the current identity for the BBC World Service. Internationally, he has created the brand identities for Bloomberg TV, Euronews, CCTV 1 China, Al Arabiya, Abu Dhabi TV, NDTV India and TV2 Norway. He has also co-written the current Anthem for the Barclay's Premier League

Commercially, his hit single "Would You...?" was at top 3 in 1998. The follow up single ' Number One' was chosen by Apple to launch the iTunes site in the USA, where every track on the Touch and Go album has been used in films, television and/or commercials.
