After the success of this years production of Hairspray, we are excited to announce that we're heading back to the 1980's for our 22nd Summer Showcase production of FOOTLOOSE in August 2018.
Our Summer Showcase is an opportunity for Stagecoach Students from the UK and Overseas to take part in a two-week residency near London and then perform in a ‘professional’ theatre production. Watch our video below to see what our Summer Showcase means to our Students.
To take part in our Summer Showcase, students will need to take part in our workshop-auditions. We welcome students from 10 years - 19 years and no previous experience is necessary, just bags of enthusiasm for our fun workshop-auditions in early 2018. We will shortly be announcing the show for 2018, but with previous productions performing Oliver, West Side Story and Joseph and the Technicolour Dreamcoat, we can guarantee that 2018’s will be just as iconic!
The workshop will be divided into sections where you will work on different elements of the show. Your family/friends will be invited to arrive 15 minutes before the end of the workshop to watch a small presentation of our work.
Once all of the workshop auditions are completed the audition team will select 80 students to make up the 2018 cast. Students who are invited to join the cast will then spend two weeks from 3rd August to 18th August with our incredible production team at St Mary’s University to rehearse and then perform the show at a professional theatre. For children who live long distances from St Mary’s University, boarding facilities are available.
There is a £35.00 fee for students attend the workshop/audition, which is non-refundable.
Please note: The eligible age group for this production is 10yrs -19yrs. Students under this age range will not be permitted to audition. Once accepted into the cast, students must remain at Stagecoach until the end of the Summer Term 2018.
