Stagecoach York

A very warm welcome to Stagecoach York, now in its 25th year of providing high quality part-time training in the performing arts for students aged 4-18yrs. New students can enrol now by scrolling down to our weekly classes section below.

Our classes take place at the following venues:
Millthorpe School, York - Friday
Archbishop Holgate’s School, York - Saturday

We aim to nurture and develop our students' potential through singing, acting and dance classes, encouraging creativity and developing confidence, physical awareness, communication and articulation - while being educational and fun.  Our students also have opportunities to perform in  local, regional and national theatres, and take part in professional tours such as Joseph, Carmen and Madame Butterfly. In addition to our regular classes, we offer LAMDA exams and we have also had students act in films or TV shows.

We have developed a unique Educational Framework for each stage of learning, so that every child can learn how to sing, dance and act while building a broad range of life skills.

Weekly Classes

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Stagecoach Early Stages
Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

(90 minutes each week)

Main Stages (for ages 6-18 yrs)

Stagecoach Main Stages
Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama.
