Stagecoach Loughborough

At Stagecoach Loughborough, we pride ourselves on the quality of teaching that we provide across all three Performing Arts but with the emphasis on having fun! Students who come to us lacking in confidence leave with the skills that they need to lead full and valuable lives. Parents have written to thank us for developing skills in their children which have meant that their academic standard has improved, and that they have found the courage to do something which they would never have done before.  Students who leave us, often after many years, thank us for guiding and helping them in a non-threatening environment, where they feel loved, valued and welcomed every week, giving them a new ‘family’ of friends outside their usual school friends. Some of our students go on to study performing arts at university but most just take with them a love of singing, dance and drama into whatever career path they choose.

We offer Performing Arts Exams

Exciting Summer term

It's skills term this term as we prepare to show off our talents.

Weekly Classes

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Stagecoach Early Stages
Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

(90 minutes each week)

Main Stages (for ages 6-18 yrs)

Stagecoach Main Stages
Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama. We nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, whilst at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child!

(3 hrs each week)

Meet The Team

Principal - Joanne Gallagher

Jo has been involved with Stagecoach since 2008 when her mum (Judith Latham, previous Principal of Loughborough for 13 years) took over and built it, with Jo's invaluable support, into the success it is now.
Jo began performing at the age of 7, enjoying outstanding success in Speech and Drama Competitions and performing in many stage shows with her local dancing school.  Whilst at school, she starred in several stage productions and has also sung 2nd Soprano with The Ratcliffe Chorale.  She taught our Early Stages classes for several years and has also covered our Senior Dance classes.  Jo has successfully achieved the ADPA (Associate Diploma in Performing Arts - Teaching) with Distinction.  She works as Office & Marketing Manager for school centred initial teacher training in Leicester and has also taught drama at local state and private schools.  She was the Principal of Stagecoach Melton Mowbray for 11 years and only left there to concentrate all her efforts into further developing  Stagecoach Loughborough.
