Stagecoach Farnham

As the Principal of Stagecoach Farnham, I want to welcome you to a warm and professional performing arts school right on your doorstep.  We run classes in drama, dance and singing every weekend during term time at Farnham College as well as our holiday workshops where we put on a show in a week. Once a year we put on a full-scale production in a professional theatre environment as well as performances on West End stages!
I believe it is highly important for all children to get involved in the performing arts in one way or another. I have seen many students who are naturally reserved, a year later playing lead roles in a show. It is character-forming and enables life skills to develop in ways that other subjects can not. Performing is so important for children and that is why ‘Creative Courage for Life’ is such an appropriate saying for Stagecoach to use because it doesn’t matter if a child is not the best dancer or cannot ‘belt’ the highest note; what matters is that in performing they become the best person they can be.
If Stagecoach Farnham sounds like something you would like to try, why not enrol for our two-week trial today!

LAMDA

LAMDA stands for London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and the exam is the speech and drama equivalent of a music grade, which begin at basic levels and culminates at Grade 8. The exams use performance to develop self confidence, physical presence and a strong speaking voice. If you fancy getting involved, email us now for more information!

Weekly Classes

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Stagecoach Early Stages
Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

(90 minutes each week)

Main Stages (for ages 6-18 yrs)

Stagecoach Main Stages
Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama. We nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, whilst at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child!

(3 hrs each week)

Further Stages (for ages 15+ yrs)

Stagecoach Further Stages
Our advanced musical theatre sessions give talented students the chance to extend their performance skills.  Through in-depth training and master classes, we help students to hone their skills in singing, dancing and acting.  We also give students the confidence to audition for theatre and vocational drama schools (if that is their goal) and make sure they are well prepared for interviews and auditions.

Fees in accordance with Main Stages.

Meet The Team

Principal - Becky Silverstein

Becky grew up in a neighbouring town to Farnham and was surrounded by influences of all aspects of the performing arts. She attended several stage schools and in 2009 went on to complete her BA in Musical Theatre at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in Greenwich, London.

After graduating, Becky continued living in London.  Between professional jobs in various areas of the industry, she successfully applied for a National Lottery grant to run a Musical Theatre course in North London. At the same time, Becky took on seasonal choreographic work at her old Sixth Form College which is when she came to realize that teaching could be just as rewarding to her as performing.

Becky joined Stagecoach Farnham in 2017 as an Early Stages teacher and immediately felt a connection with the school’s warm and inviting atmosphere. Over the next few years, Becky changed her role to Dance teacher and eventually to Manager where she had a real insight into what a Principal’s role would be like.

Becky is absolutely thrilled to be the new Principal at Stagecoach Farnham and cannot wait to get stuck into all the exciting things that the job entails.
