Principal - Katie Ashmore
Katie began working for Stagecoach in 2002 developing dance within the school and sharing her passion for the arts. Katie graduated from The Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts in 2005 with distinction and went on to further her career as a performer and freelance dance artist, touring nationally and internationally. Katie recently established her own dance company giving opportunities to many young people who have a love for dance! As the new Principal of Stagecoach Wakefield Katie is dedicated to creating an enjoyable, creative experience for all those who attend the school.
Dance Coach - Alicia Brady
Alicia's main passion in life is to perform and share her love of the arts with others: 'I love being in front of an audience and being able to entertain them'. She has always been involved in the world of dance and singing. She has danced from 3 years old at Adele Taylor School of Dance. She has worked for many companies as a freelance artist and has developed her skills across many styles including street, hip-hop, and jazz dance. Currently performing with one of the UK's top 12 hip-hop crews, Alicia is continuously challenging her own technique in order to develop our children's skills to reach their full potential.
Singing Coach - Jonathan Best - RCM
Jonathan is a successful and respected songwriter and record producer collaborating with many famous names in the music world and has a platinum selling album as co-writer/producer to his recent credit. He is signed to music publishers Universal and has worked with the famous Abbey Road studios and PWL (Pete Waterman). Artiste promotion work includes work at Ronnie Scott's, The Marquee and Cafe de Paris. He is MD of a state of the art recording studio and loves to utilise his skills to develop young talent.

Drama Coach - Gemma Head - MA
Gemma trained at Bretton Hall in the mid-1990's and then graduated from the MA Theatre Studies course at Leeds University in 2003. She gained teaching experience in secondary education in London and has facilitated workshops in both text-based and devised performance. Since graduating, Gemma has worked as an actress in theatre, film and television and has written several critically acclaimed plays.
Drama Coach - Helen O'Mara
Helen has been with Stagecoach for over 4 years now and loves working with the children and developing their skills every week. Previously Helen taught for Stagecoach Pontefract, her background is in Drama and theatre performance. During the week Helen runs mini maestros which is delivering music for children aged 3 month to 3 years.
Early Stages Coach - Jonathan Wood
Whilst teaching Early Stages classes at Wakefield, Jonny is very active as a professional dance teacher in a variety of roles including street dance and hip-hop. He is skilled in all three performing arts disciplines and is an active director of a dance company. Jonny has also produced a number of theatre-based productions and has trained for 8 years within the industry. Jonny is very dedicated to his work and loves to challenge children's skills and abilities through the means of creative arts.
