Principal - Carrie Harrison-Iddon - BA Acting
Carrie trained as a professional actress at The Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow. After graduating she began her acting career in London where she gained parts in film, theatre and television. In 2004 she began teaching drama at Stagecoach Haywards Heath and loved it! Ever since then she developed a passion for teaching and slowly moved from acting into teaching drama full-time. Within her teaching jobs she has been able to develop her directing skills and has directed various shows over the years such as Grease, Bugsy Malone, My Mother Said I Never Should, Godspell and Charlie and The Chocolate Factory to name a few! Carrie has been the Principal now for just over a year and loves all the challenges and fun that comes from running the Tunbridge Wells school.
Dance Coach - Emma Hollings
At the age of 16 Emma flew the nest to pursue her love for dance and was awarded a place at Laine Theatre Arts in Epsom, Surrey. Upon graduating Emma travelled the world on many cruise liners as Dance Captain and vocalist where she lived her dream while sailing the seas. On her return she has worked in theatre and television productions with credits including: Understudy Principal Dancer Mystique, Thursfords Christmas Spectacular, Crosse & Blackwell TV commercials, Coca Cola Big Screen Campaign and has danced for Sky Sports and Eurosport on various events.
For the past 4 years Emma has launched her career as a professional choreographer and has worked on many shows including Mad About The Musicals UK Tour, Shakin All Over UK Tour, Bel Canto Spain, Showdown Hoedown Spain, Parisian Nights Spain and numerous pantomimes.
As well as performing and choreographing, Emma shares her love for dance through teaching and for the last 5 years has worked as the dance teacher for Stagecoach Haywards Heath. She is very excited to be joining the team at Tunbridge Wells and can't wait to meet all the talented students that she has heard so much about!!
Singing Coach - Sophie Pepler - BA Musical Theatre
Sophie is an excellent teacher and has been teaching at Tunbridge Wells for a number of years. Sophie trained at the Rose Bruford College achieving a first class BA honours in Theatre and Music. She has performed extensively in the theatre for television, film and radio. Sophie is a singer/song writer and performs her own material and sings with a band, the Sharpenders.
Drama Coach - Rebecca Gooden
Rebecca Gooden trained at The Central School of Speech and Drama, London, in writing and directing. She took part in The Royal Court Young Writers Programme as an invited up-and-coming playwright. After graduating from university she spent a year in Hong Kong teaching drama and creative writing in Chinese and International schools. She is currently working at The Old Vic Theatre in London as an intern within The Old Vic New Voices and new talent department and continues to show her own work at theatres in London and the UK. Rebecca is passionate about working with creative young people and loves being part of the Stagecoach team!
Early Stages Coach - Holly Ray
Holly graduated from Bird College with BA (Hons) Dance and Theatre Performance in 2009 and has since been performing and teaching around the UK. Holly enjoys trying her hand at every genre of the arts, and this is evident from her work so far, which includes becoming part of a Theatrical Dance Duo for club nights in Brighton, recording and performing vocals with a renowned Trance producer, performing with contemporary dance company Big Beef Dance Theatre, taking lead vocals with a Motown, Soul and Jazz band, and songwriting and performing as part of an innovative acoustic duo. Holly has also taught workshops in all areas of the arts, including Bollywood dance and physical theatre, and regularly teaches ballet, contemporary, tap, modern, jazz, singing and drama.
