Our Principal

Carrie has over 7 years experience working with Stagecoach and became Principal of Stagecoach Tunbridge Wells in April 2010 to provide drama classes, dance classes and singing classes. Having trained and graduated as a professional actress at The Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow, Carrie began her acting career in London, where she gained parts in film, theatre and television.

Her Stagecoach career began in 2004 as drama teacher for Haywards Heath and ever since she has developed a passion for teaching, subsequently moving slowly from acting in teaching drama full-time. Within her teaching jobs she has been able to develop her directing skills and has directed various shows over the years such as Grease, Bugsy Malone, My Mother Said I Never Should, Godspell and Charlie and The Chocolate Factory to name a few! Carrie is loving being the Principal of Stagecoach Tunbridge Wells.

Our Teachers

All drama lessons, dance classes and singing lessons are run by professional teachers who have been fully CRB checked. With industry experience in choreography, singing, directing and acting, our teachers are experts in their chosen field. You can read more about our teaching team here.

Our Students

We welcome new students of all ages and abilities. Many children join us with no previous experience and all we ask is that they are enthusiastic and keen to learn. Stagecoach Tunbridge Wells students thrive in an environment where creativity is nurtured and technique and style are developed each week. We teach students to act, dance and sing and then watch as they become more confident, poised and self-assured. All teachers are professionals with a wealth of knowledge in their discipline. The skills they are able to pass onto their students are skills for life!

Our Dance Troupe

Since new Principal, Carrie Harrison-Iddon, took over Stagecoach Tunbridge Wells, the school has seen many new changes such as a new venue - we are now at St Matthews Primary School, the introduction of a dance troupe and LAMDA exams.

The Stagecoach Tunbridge Wells Dance Troupe has been incredibly successful. The troupe runs every Saturday and is a free event for all those who wish to further their dance skills. Each term the troupe performs in shows around Sussex and Kent; our most recent performance was at Roedean Theatre and Runneymede Centre. For more information, contact Carrie on 01273 835199.
