Welcome to Stagecoach Teacher Training Courses, preparing you for the Associate Diploma in Performance Arts (ADPA). The ADPA has been developed for teachers working with young people in part-time performing arts schools. It is an internationally recognised qualification awarded and conducted by Performance Arts Awards. The course is delivered by Stagecoach Theatre Arts Ltd.
From Veronica Bennetts,
Course Director:
It's not unusual for a youngsters' dedication to the performing arts to have grown out of one teachers' influence. I have seen many inspirational teachers whose passion and energy have set their subject alight for their students in a life-changing way.
Young people deserve the best possible teaching we can give them in order to discover that learning is fun, that learning is great, that possessing skills and self-discipline bring performance freedom and that the theatre arts are a passion for life!
That is why we have set up this course. There are many potentially brilliant student-teachers and would-be teachers who may feel they lack the necessary skills and knowledge to give them both the confidence and the credibility as teachers in part-time theatre arts schools. If that is you, then please do come on the Stagecoach Teacher Training Course with a view to taking the ADPA examination. We will do everything we can every step of the way to support you.
On the other hand, if you are an experienced teacher who would like to further enrich your understanding and gain an additional ʻteaching of performing artsʼ qualification, please look at the Stagecoach Fast Track Teaching Diploma Preparation Course. This equips you to sit the ADPA.
We can promise you inspirational teachers, a safe, inclusive environment, exciting, relevant workshops, one-to-one tutoring and a great deal of fun as well as a great deal of supported learning.
