STAGECOACH
For three hours each week during term time at Stagecoach, your child will learn to express themselves more easily, gain poise, self confidence, and self awareness. These skills, learned while our students enjoy themselves, do not disappear when they come off stage. They are skills for life.
Stagecoach is for two kinds of young people. One kind are performers, keen to train for a stage career, although we never hide the fact that this is very difficult and fraught with disappointments. The other kind are explorers who see in us a chance to stretch themselves, make new friends, learn new skills and discover how much they can grow.
Although Stagecoach training is serious, students have fun while they learn. We teach the skills needed to act sing and dance, and for those looking for a stage career, Stagecoach has an agency that represents students from all over the country.
FURTHER STAGES
Further Stages is a separate class for students who have reached a minimum age of fifteen and are keen to carry on their training at Stagecoach but in a more advanced class.
Again the students work at the same venue as the younger ones but with dedicated teachers who take the usual classes to a more advanced level.
HOLIDAY WORKSHOPS
Holiday workshops are held during the school holidays or breaks, mainly at Easter or over the summer. Most Stagecoach schools run at least one week of workshops during the year. Each workshop is complete in itself and they run for a week with a presentation for family and friends at the end.
The workshops include lots of singing, dancing, acting and everybody gets a part and there’s plenty to learn everyday for the final performance. The workshops are for 8 – 16 year olds and some centres run shorter sessions for 4 – 7 year olds. The workshops are open to everyone, whether they are a Stagecoach student or not.
