AN INTRODUCTION TO STAGECOACH
This is Stagecoach! Down-to-earth quality training for four to eighteen year-olds in the disciplines of dance, drama and singing in a very safe and happy environment. The skills learnt by our Stagecoach students don't disappear when the curtain falls - they are skills for life.
Our School

STOP PRESS! Our next show this Autumn Term will be 'BEAUTY and THE BEAST'. See News and Events for info.
OUR LOCATION
Higham Lane School, Shanklin Drive, Nuneaton.
Serving the towns of Nuneaton, Hartshill, Arley, Hinckley, Bedworth, Bulkington, Atherstone, Earl Shilton, Barwell, Burbage, Stoke Golding, Market Bosworth, Wolvey and surrounding countryside.
OUR HISTORY
After many years teaching Theatre Craft to children on the Isle of Man, and having returned to the Midlands, Principal Jane Harris decided to open her own theatre school and was impressed by the wealth of experience offered by Stagecoach Theatre Arts - its quality of support; dedication to training and development coupled with enjoyment; concern for child protection issues and the maintenance of high standards, all of which comprise its ethos.
Thus it was that Jane's first Stagecoach school opened its doors in 2001 in Tamworth, followed by the Nuneaton school two years later. Today, in Nuneaton we have a 'Senior School' session for 7 to 18 year olds and one for 'Early Stages' students (4 to 6+), both on Sunday mornings.
Opportunity for our youngsters does not only take place at weekends. Students are given the option to join The Stagecoach Casting Agency and this department works hard to promote students performance aspirations with directors in the entertainment industry nationwide.

Among many successes, one of our students competed in the finals of Granada TV's 'Stars in their Eyes'. Two of our 'Early Stages' children completed runs performing in 'The King and I' at the Alexandra Theatre in Birmingham and in 'Miss Saigon' at The Hippodrome. More recently a Tamworth student landed the role of Michael Banks in the West End run of 'Mary Poppins' and he's now playing Artful Dodger in 'Oliver' at the Theatre Royal. Another student was in last year's finals of 'The X-Factor'!
Extra-curricular activities include the chance to come on theatre trips and, each Summer, we offer one-week Holiday Workshops for both 'Seniors' and for the little ones which culminate in a presentation for family and friends. Families are also invited to performances of musical theatre at the end of two of the three terms. Many of our shows have been specially written and composed for us by our Creative Director, Steven Walker. Adjacent and in the next section you'll see pictures from some of the recent shows written by Steven - 'The Boy King' based on the story of Tutankhamun, and 'The Willow Tree' which is about the events surrounding the Gunpowder Plot.
