AN INTRODUCTION TO STAGECOACH
This is Stagecoach! Down-to-earth quality training for four to eighteen year-olds in the disciplines of dance, drama and singing in a very safe and happy environment. The skills learnt by our Stagecoach students don't disappear when the curtain falls - they are skills for life.
Our School
Stagecoach Bicester opened on 6th May 2006 and is based at Brookside Primary School near to the centre of Bicester. In April 2008, we relocated to a brand new building within the school site. This building lends itself perfectly to the needs of the school, with excellent performance spaces and a choice of rehearsal rooms.
We offer one Main School for students ages 7-18 year olds, which offers challenging and exciting classes in singing, dancing and drama. Students are divided by age into three stages which cover suitable material for their age and experience. Students participate in three hourly classes in each discipline throughout the morning with three specialised teachers. Each term offers new challenges, from working on a musical theatre script, to improvisation, from modern dance to jazz, classical singing to motown, we explore many genres within our school and therefore, can offer something for everyone.
Early Stages classes for younger children are held alongside our Main School. These classes are a wonderful introduction for children aged 4-7 to the Performing Arts and cover the basics of singing, dancing and acting in a fun-filled environment. Students participate in 30 minutes of each discipline with one teacher and one assistant throughout the morning. The aim of these classes is not only to act as an introduction, but to build the confidence and self esteem of our students along the way.
Our classes are enjoyed by children of all ages and abilities and are an excellent opportunity for students to learn all the skills needed for a career in the performing arts but most importantly, students learn how to be articulate, to communicate, and to present with confidence and poise, skills which will help them in all paths of life.
