AN INTRODUCTION TO STAGECOACH

This is Stagecoach! Down-to-earth quality training for four to eighteen year-olds in the disciplines of dance, drama and singing in a very safe and happy environment. The skills learnt by our Stagecoach students don't disappear when the curtain falls - they are skills for life.

Our School

Stagecoach Hastings opened in September 2000 and now attracts students from Bexhill, Battle, Rye and surrounding villages.

We pride ourselves on offering a safe environment where children can receive quality training in the performing arts. We welcome new students of all ages and abilities. Many children join us with no previous experience and all we ask is that they are enthusiastic and keen to learn. Stagecoach Hastings students thrive in an environment where creativity is nurtured and technique and style are developed each week. We teach students to act, sing and dance and then watch as they become more confident, poised and self-assured. These are skills for life!

We provide performance opportunities at the school twice a year. One takes the form of a demonstration of class work, whilst the other is a set piece on stage in the Phoenix Theatre. For those who just love to perform there is also a Performance Troupe, a Regional Choir and an annual Summer Workshop many of our students have also been involved in professional touring productions at the local theatre.

“Enrolling my grandson Oscar was the best thing I have ever done for him. Not only has he developed his theatrical skills but Stagecoach has changed his life at school by giving him confidence in himself. Oscar has also performed at the local theatre and the on the West End Stage, what a wonderful thing for a 12 year old boy! Thank you Avril and your dedicated team for your continuing inspirational work”
