AN INTRODUCTION TO STAGECOACH
This is Stagecoach! Down-to-earth quality training for four to eighteen year-olds in the disciplines of dance, drama and singing in a very safe and happy environment. The skills learnt by our Stagecoach students don't disappear when the curtain falls - they are skills for life.
Our School
Stagecoach Yarm opened in September 1997 in Layfield Primary School. We have since had a change of venue and now operate out of immaculate premises in Teesside High School in Eaglescliffe. Our sister schools in Stagecoach Darlington opened from April 1998 and they too have changed venue to the very fine facilities of the Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College in the centre of town and the brand new building that is St George's Cof E Primary School, Neasham Road, Middleton St George.
We cater for a wide age range of students, from rising four-year-olds to 18+ years. We have 10 Early Stages classes (for 4 to 7 year olds) spread across 7 Main Schools (for 6 to 16 year olds) with two additional Further Stages classes (for 15+ years). We also now have the very first ALL BOYS DANCE classes in the Stagecoach network.
We cater for a wide age range of students, from rising four-year-olds to 18+ years. We train a regional entertainment troupe called STARE. The best students from across the Tees Valley are chosen to sing and dance in aid of charity. If the event is not for a charity then we ask for a charity donation. Please ring 01325 337667, if interested in hiring STARE to perform. STARE have raised several thousand pounds already.
We offer optional LAMDA exams in Speech and Drama every year, where parents cover the cost of the examinations. In addition, every main school sits Trinity College, London exams in Group Musical Theatre every two years, where the exam fees are covered by Stagecoach. Our results show a 98+% overall pass rate with 87+% gaining higher level gradings.
