AN INTRODUCTION TO STAGECOACH

This is Stagecoach! Down-to-earth quality training for four to eighteen year-olds in the disciplines of dance, drama and singing in a very safe and happy environment. The skills learnt by our Stagecoach students don't disappear when the curtain falls - they are skills for life.

Our School

21 years of Stagecoach training: A new generation of confidence. Stagecoach was founded in 1988. It teaches performing arts skills part-time to over 300,000 children all over the world and pioneered the concept of franchised stage schools for children. It remains by far the biggest player in the UK with over 600 schools. The first MK school was launched in April 1997. As demand for places has grown so extra schools have been added & there are now 7 Main Schools & 6 Early Stages Schools in the MK area catering for more than 400 students every weekend during term time. We pride ourselves on offering a safe environment where young people can receive quality training in the Performing Arts.

Stagecoach MK runs classes in Stony Stratford on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at St. Mary & St. Giles CE Junior School, which is a short walk from the High Street.

Stagecoach Milton Keynes East runs classes in Woburn Sands on Saturday mornings & afternoons at Fulbrook Middle School, which is only a 4 minute drive from Kingston District Centre (handy for doing your shopping while your child is at Stagecoach!)

For details of our Woburn Sands classes visit www.stagecoach.co.uk/miltonkeyneseast or email miltonkeyneseast@stagecoach.co.uk or telephone 01908 698333.
Main Schools provide 3 hours of lively weekly workshops for students aged 6 – 16 years. Early Stages Schools run shorter sessions for children aged 4 – 6 years. Students are divided into deliberately small groups by age and at every session take lessons in drama, singing and a range of dance styles encompassing Musical Theatre, Street and Jazz. In addition to preparing students for a performing career, Stagecoach is equally successful at developing confidence, articulation and communication skills.

We welcome students of all ages and abilities. Many join us with no previous experience and all we ask is that they are enthusiastic and keen to learn. Our students thrive in an environment where creativity is nurtured and technique and style are developed each week. "You teach them so much more than singing, drama and dance!"Mrs Broderick.

New students are accepted at the beginning of each term. However, registrations can be submitted at any time and are processed on a first come first served basis. We advise applying well before the start of a new term as classes are popular! An initial deposit forms part of the term’s fees and secures the student a place at the school for the term. However, if after two weeks you do not wish to take up the place no balance is due. Please don’t hesitate to contact us for more information.

“Highly creative ethos set by very active principal. He has acquired a very good set of teachers. Students respond well and are very well behaved. They acquire good skills and have fun. They love it!” Jean Harding, Chief Inspector, Harding Associates Limited. Independent Inspector report

“The thing that is different about Stagecoach is that you care.” Mr. White

“Stagecoach is, of course, confidently riding out the recession and when you look at the quality of work you can see why. Some drama chains may go to the wall but Stagecoach? Well, Darwin's phrase 'survival of the fittest.' comes to mind." Susan Elkin, Education and Training Editor, 'The Stage'.

“It was clear from the outset that Stagecoach is a truly professional outfit – well-organised, with expert tuition, encouraging and supportive and without unhealthy pressure. From the word go, our daughter was completely hooked.” Mr. & Mrs. Mitchell

“Thanks a billion! I didn’t think that a million was enough! Over the years I have been very happy at Stagecoach!” Amy, 8

“I am writing to say a heartfelt thank you to you and your students for taking part in Ellen Kent’s productions in the spring tour. We received very good feedback about the singing and the dancing and have enjoyed working with you.” Ellen Kent & Opera International
