Stagecoach Foundation Certificate

Applications are welcomed both from the UK and abroad. Students have travelled from as far away as Australia to participate in the Stagecoach Foundation Course. All tuition is in English and a good standard of spoken and written English is required.

Trinity/Guildhall has agreed that attending and meeting the required standard of the Stagecoach Foundation Course will count as Unit 1 (of 3 Units) towards their prestigious A.T.C.L. award in Musical Theatre.

This award is intended for teachers working in part-time performing arts schools for young people and is equally suitable for those with backgrounds in Drama, Dance or Singing. Completion of the course indicates that a student has understood and practised some of the skills, strategies and insights required for teaching in part-time theatre arts schools.

The Certificate indicates a basic level of competence as a teacher. Successful candidates will be awarded their Foundation Certificate after attendance at the Stagecoach Foundation Course and satisfactory completion of the syllabus.

No other course of this kind is currently in existence!

The Stagecoach Foundation Course breaks entirely new ground in the development and enabling of teachers for work in part-time Theatre Arts Schools.

The Course has been awarded status equal to Unit 1 of the ATCL
