Meet our teachers
Principal - Kayleigh Melluish - BA Hons
Kayleigh Started dancing at the young age of 2 and a half and hasn't stopped since! After completing her A Levels Kayleigh trained at SLP Musical Theatre College where she began preparing for a life as a professional performer. However, it wasn't long until Kayleigh realised that she craved a higher level of academic education, on top of her theatre arts training and so she made the brave decision to follow her head in search of an arts degree. Having recently graduated from the University of Surrey, Guildford with a 2.1 BA Hons Degree in Dance and Culture, Kayleigh is more than satisfied she made the right choice. Throughout university Kayleigh had an array of experiences that have all contributed to her skill base. During the summers Kayleigh worked for Thomson TUI in Family Club Xtra Hotels throughout Europe, running a teenage programme, dancing and singing in the shows, choreographing and managing the evening entertainment. She worked with the National Lottery funded programme Guildford Grooves to promote the arts throughout Surrey and to give children an insight into how dancing, singing and acting can improve self confidence and health and fitness. Kayleigh also worked for a big events company in London working on events such as the London Olympic Torch Ceremony and with Guinness World Records. Since moving back to Flintshire, Kayleigh has been appointed choreographer for Tip Top Pantomime Productions, she has become Website & Business Development Support Administrator for a Fancy Dress Company and she has founded her own Glee Group, The Gleeks, who have just performed their debut show 'Born This Way'. Kayleigh is thoroughly dedicated to being Principal of Stagecoach Colwyn Bay and to ensuring all of the students get the best theatre arts education possible. The skills learnt by our Stagecoach students don't disappear when the curtain falls - they are skills for life.
