Two Week Trial
We understand the importance of giving every child a chance to come and try Stagecoach, which is why we offer a two week trial. The trial gives your child the opportunity to come and settle in and try our classes in singing, dancing and acting. Payment of the deposit entitles all new students to take part in a two week trial and to see if Stagecoach is right for them before committing to a term. Prospective students and their parents are very welcome to visit us.

Performance Opportunities at Stagecoach Chesterfield & Dronfield!

At Stagecoach Chesterfield and Dronfield we understand how important it is to provide our students with as many opportunities as possible to perform in exciting venues as well as learning about the theatre. All our children have access to be a part of the events as being completely inclusive is an integral part of our ethos. Performing outside of their usual Stagecoach environment gives our students the ideal opportunity to experience life on a professional stage, as well as learning the values of teamwork. The process also helps them to develop in confidence and self-esteem, skills they can use in everyday life.

Recently our students have performed at theatres in Blackpool, Peterborough and Torquay as well as at Her Majesty’s Theatre in London’s West End. Students also have the opportunity to perform with professional theatre companies and have recently supported professional tours of Carmen, Madame Butterfly, and many more. These fantastic opportunities allow our students to gain valuable experience of a career in the performing arts.

Students also have the opportunity to take LAMDA exams whilst at Stagecoach. LAMDA exams are a recognised drama award taught by a specialist coach. These exams are a wonderful way to build confidence, improve acting and communication skills, whilst preparing students for their individual exams.

Every year we also take our students to Disneyland Paris to perform on stage as well as in the famous pre-parade, watch the video below to see our students in action!

Stagecoach Acting, Singing and Dance Classes & Times

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

(90 minutes each week)

Main Stages (for ages 6-18 yrs)

Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama. We nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, whilst at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child!

(3 hrs each week)

Please use the online payment for existing students or, a new student whose place has been confirmed by the local principal.
We often hear from visitors that Stagecoach Chesterfield and Dronfield is a happy, motivated performing arts school. All students are welcomed, regardless of past experience and everyone is encouraged to participate in the endless performance opportunities that we offer on a termly basis. We strive to give the very best learning experience in drama, dance and singing that is available. Our teaching team is fully committed to getting the best out of every single child.

Each child receives weekly tuition in performing arts using drama, dance and singing. The main aim of the classes is to encourage students to think creatively, develop their confidence and above all, have lots of fun. Parents comment on how Stagecoach has a positive impact on focus, behaviour and motivation outside of our classes.

We cover a wide variety of dance styles including but not limited to Jazz, Modern, Street Dance, Bollywood, Commercial and Lyrical. In drama, our curriculum includes improvisation, Comedy, Mask Work and Script Work to name but a few. In singing classes, children can expect to cover a wide range of repertoire from Musical Theatre, Pop, Folk, Jazz and even Opera!

These are an integral part of the Stagecoach training. All students participate in an annual show at our schools with costumes, lighting and microphones. This is often the highlight of the Stagecoach Chesterfield and Dronfield calendar.
We also take groups to perform at large scale theatres across the country. This year we have performed at Her Majesty’s Theatre in London, Peterborough, Cleckheaton, Torquay and Birmingham Symphony Hall. For the last three years we have also taken children to perform at Disneyland® Paris.

We are also approached by professional touring productions and provide children for various plays and pantomimes, most recently with Dani Harmer and Bobby Davro. We provide the children’s Opera Chorus for Ellen Kent Opera when they tour this region.  One of our girls successfully auditioned to play Princess Fiona in the West End Tour of Shrek.  5 lucky Stagecoach Halifax students also sang with Robbie Williams at Leeds Arena! We also have many individual students successfully auditioning for parts in plays, musicals and commercials.
