Easy Stages - Stagecoach Performers at Their Best
Stagecoach present an Annual Showcase each year in a Surrey Theatre. This production is cast by audition from students who have attended Stagecoach for three years or longer.The production's directors travel the UK holding auditions in early spring of each year and suggestions are submitted on video from other countries. The 75 strong cast of students aged between 9 and 17 gather at the end of July, many staying in university accommodation.
The company rehearses with a professional production team for two weeks and presents a showcase during the third week.
The event is called Easy Stages - taking the name of the first ever showcase in 1991. The cast almost invariably includes students from Ireland, Germany, USA, Spain, Gibraltar and Malta in addition to the UK.
For many this event is the highlight of their time at Stagecoach.
