Stagecoach Aberdeen South

A very warm welcome to Stagecoach Aberdeensouth where we have been providing fun, inclusive, professional training in the performing arts for 23 years.
Our aim is to provide our students with ‘creative courage for life’ through engaging dance, singing and drama classes.  As well as improving these skills, Stagecoach Aberdeensouth will help build self-confidence, creativity and communication skills in a friendly and safe environment. These are not just skills for performing, they are skills for life!

Weekly Classes

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Stagecoach Early Stages
Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

(90 minutes each week)

Main Stages (for ages 6-18 yrs)

Stagecoach Main Stages
Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama. We nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, whilst at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child!

(3 hrs each week)

Meet The Team

Principal - Judith McGlynn - B Ed (Hons)

Judith has been involved in children's theatre for many years and seeing how much being involved in this hobby developed the self esteem and confidence, inspired her to get involved in Stagecoach. An ex guidance teacher, she has a great relationship with parents and her pupils and strives to keep a positive atmosphere in the school. She thoroughly enjoys Stagecoach and feels lucky to have a career doing something which benefits so many children. She has played many title roles including Calamity Jane and Sweet Charity and was part of a fundraising group which toured 'Nunsense' taking it to the Edinburgh Festival in 2004. Nowadays she still works part time in an Angus Secondary and, along with husband Fraser, runs Stagecoach Aberdeen South and Perth.
