Welcome to Stagecoach Stoke-On-Trent. We provide quality part time training for boys and girls age 4-18 years. We are part of the UK's largest network of part-time performing arts schools for 4 - 18 year olds. Stagecoach Stoke-On-Trent is more than just a Stage school, it also provides children with those extra skills to take them through everyday life.
We aim to build confidence, stretch the childrens imagination and provide life skills through the disciplines of acting, singing and dance. Whether your child desires a career in stage or not these skills can benefit them throughout. With over 15 years experience training 1000’s of local children and young adults we pride ourselves in quality and ensuring that every child reaches their full potential and recognizing that this differs from child to child and they all have individual talents and needs.
We offer a rich curriculum in dance, singing and drama delivered by our team of professional teachers all of whom have their own performance credits. They are led by a vibrant principal who has a wealth of experience in both performing arts and dance. Children will participate in our annual production and also have the opportunities to take Stagecoach on the road in local performances and events. Our mission is to make performing arts accessible to all children and young adults in order for them to achieve their ambitions in our exhilarating classes.

We are open every weekend during term time and we also offer workshops during the school holidays. Come and join the fun and our Stagecoach family.

We are recruiting for Spring Term starting on Saturday 6th January 2024 now with our 2 week trial in venue. Pay the deposit and get on the register now, to come and try Stagecoach for a couple of weeks to test the water - then if you're happy, you stay and join us for the term! Performance Troupe

We offer a FREE performance troupe where students can further their dance skills every Saturday 9-10am. Age 7+ only. Students work towards extra dance routines for yearly community projects such as the Artscool Project which Stagecoach participate in each year.

Weekly Classes

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Stagecoach Early Stages
Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

(90 minutes each week)

Main Stages (for ages 6-18 yrs)

Stagecoach Main Stages
Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama. We nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, whilst at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child!

Meet The Team

Principal - Rebecca Castrey

Becky trained in dance at Angela Beardmore School of dance for numerous years and went on to study at Manchester Metropolitan University gaining a BA(Hons) qualification in Dance and a PGCE in higher education specializing in dance and musical theatre teaching. She has performed herself from a young age in musical productions, pantomimes, taking on leading roles and competed in various dance and drama competitions, gaining a scholarship for modern jazz dance with the BBO. She auditioned and was successful in the tour of “The Twits” at the age of 12. Becky teaches a variety of age groups ranging from 4-65 years, from the educational settings of university and college to the wider community delivering a range of dance styles which include ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, street/hip hop, musical theatre, modern, cheerleading and basic circus skills. She also choreographs and directs local productions, which include musicals and pantomimes. She choreographed for the Clothes show live NEC in 2012.

She has lectured dance at OBA, South Cheshire College and Manchester Metropolitan University and still works freelance in Staffordshire and Cheshire areas. She is currently the course leader for the Dance Level 3 BTEC course at The Performing Arts Centre at Newcastle-Under- Lyme college where she lectures dance to students age 16 upwards. She is also an external verifier for BTEC and their Edexcel courses and assesses work nationwide in performing arts and still choreographs semi-professional productions locally. Becky has taught for various Stagecoach Theatre Arts throughout the UK for the past 6 years teaching both dance and Early stages classes. She loves how Stagecoach can help improve lifelong skills for children and is very excited to be principal of Stagecoach Stoke and has lots of exciting plans for the school. She is a qualified Zumba Instructor and is teaching her own classes locally. She prides herself in pushing her own technique and continuing her own professional development and performance appearing in murder mystery productions and improvisations and directing one act plays locally. She has won various awards for leading roles such as Nancy in Oliver and Mrs Kelly in Annie Warbucks and Snow White are just a few to mention which were all adjudicated by NODA. Becky strives for high quality results through creating a warm and positive working environment for children to learn in, promoting teamwork and confidence through musical theatre.
